Colorado Trophy
Elk $6500
Lone Star Outfitters offers private ranch hunts in
the heart of trophy elk country. We provide our hunters with fair chase
hunts for trophy, monster bull elk. The famed Vermejo Park and Hill ranches
are just 6.5 miles south and southwest of our ranch in Colorado. These
ranches now offer over 700,000 acres of prime trophy elk habitat and an elk
herd of proven genetics. Our goal is to provide reasonable priced hunts for
these proven trophy, quality bulls.

Colorado Mule Deer $4500
Lone Star Outfitters has not harvested mule deer
on our ranch in Colorado for the past eight years allowing the herd size to
increase and the trophy bucks to mature. The 2007 hunting season should
provide opportunities for mature mule deer bucks based on the improvements
seen in the quality of bucks during the 2006 hunting season. Mule deer can
be hunted during the 2nd & 3rd Elk rifle seasons in
combination with elk for a trophy fee of $3500.00.

Black Bear may be hunted with elk during archery,
muzzle loading and rifle seasons for a trophy fee of $2500.00. Bear license
are sold on a first come first served basis beginning on July 7, 2008. For

Colorado
Mountain Lion $4500
We hunt mountain lions from the end of the last
Elk / Deer Season in November until the end of March of the following year.
Approximately 30 cats are harvested from this unit each year. Our success rate is very near 100% because of
the way we approach the hunt. We prefer to wait for a fresh tracking snow,
find fresh tracks of the size we are looking for and then ask the hunter to
arrive within the next 24 hours to chase the cat. This method is very
productive and makes an exciting hunt from the first release of the dogs. We
have access to approximately 70,000 acres of private ranch lands for the
hunt and Cats are very abundant. Be ready for some hair raising excitement.

Colorado Spring
& Fall Merriam's Turkey $1000
This area is truly blessed with one of the most
productive flocks of Merriam’s turkey in southern Colorado. It is quite
common to see 50 to 100 turkeys per day while hunting, with many Toms in
groups of 5 to 10. These birds are not call shy, due to the lack of hunting
pressure on private lands, and make an exciting hunt. Colorado offers both
spring and fall turkey seasons and we offer hunts in both seasons.
The Spring Turkey Season opens April 11, 2009 and
runs through May 4, 2009. We are offering 6 hunts this year starting April
7th so book your preferred week soon for the best times.
The Fall Turkey Season runs from September 29, 2008
until October 5, 2008. These dates overlay the fall elk and deer archery
and muzzle loading seasons and the early fall bear season. For that reason,
we only offer fall turkey hunts from September 22 through September 30,
2007.
All our turkey hunts are for 2 days, usually
filling tags on the first day. The hunter is responsible for their own meals
and lodging in nearby Trinidad Colorado. We provide all transportation to
and from the ranch and while hunting. Additional hunting days can be
provided for $250.00 per day should the birds not cooperate.

Colorado Lodging and Meals
Lodging and meals are included when
hunting from our tent camp. Lodging & Meals are the responsibility of the
hunter in town. Upon confirmation of your hunt, lodging will be booked for
you at a discounted rate with a local hotel in Trinidad, Co. You will pay
upon arrival for your room.
TEXAS HUNTING INFORMATION
The 3000 acre ranch in
South Texas lies within Dimmit County, approximately 12 miles Southeast of
Carrizo Springs. We stay in a local motel during our hunts and dine in local
restaurants. Wal-Mart, Circle V Ranch Center , HEB and other sporting goods
stores are available. Be sure to join the Los Cuernos De Tejas and Los
Cozadores Big Buck Contests on arrival. You may qualify for the great prizes
awarded each year for the largest deer harvested in a variety of classes.
