The ranch in Colorado lies within Unit 851. Colorado
DNR offers a new
interactive map program.
Colorado Trophy
Elk $6500
Lone Star Outfitters offers private ranch hunts in
the heart of trophy elk country. We provide our hunters with fair chase
hunts for trophy, monster bull elk. The famed Vermejo Park and Hill ranches
are just 6.5 miles south and southwest of our ranch in Colorado. These
ranches now offer over 1,000,000 acres of prime trophy elk habitat and an
elk herd of proven genetics. Our goal is to provide reasonable priced hunts
for these proven trophy, quality bulls.

Colorado Mule Deer $5500
Lone Star Outfitters harvested
2 mule deer bucks on our ranch in Colorado in 2008, 6
Trophy Bucks in 2009 and 4 Trophy Bucks in 2011.
Mule Deer had not been harvested for the prior 8 years
allowing the herd size to recover and the trophy bucks
to mature. This has allowed us to take bucks scoring 191
3/8, 190 2/8, 182, 176, 172, 168, 164, 162, 158, and
156 while leaving many trophy quality bucks for the
coming seasons. Neighboring ranches have also followed a
similar game management practice allowing the herds to
increase in size and quality. The upcoming hunting
season should provide opportunities for mature 190-210
inch mule deer bucks based on the high numbers of mature
bucks left on the ranch after this past season.

Bear $4500
Black Bear may be hunted
with Elk or Mule Deer during archery, muzzle loading and
rifle seasons for a trophy fee of $3500.00. Bear license
are sold on a first come first served basis beginning in

Colorado
Mountain Lion $4500
We hunt mountain lions from the end of the last
Elk / Deer Season in November until the end of March of the following year.
Approximately 30 cats are harvested from this unit each year. Our success
rate is very near 100% because of the way we approach the hunt. We prefer to
wait for a fresh tracking snow, find fresh tracks of the size we are looking
for and then ask the hunter to arrive within the next 24 hours to chase the
cat. This method is very productive and makes an exciting hunt from the
first release of the dogs. We have access to approximately 70,000 acres of
private ranch lands for the hunt and Cats are very abundant. Be ready for
some hair raising excitement.

Colorado Spring
& Fall Merriam's Turkey $1500
Lone Star
Outfitters has experienced near 100% success hunting
these long beards over the
last 10 years. Only missed shots and lost birds have
tarnished our record. The ranch is blessed with many
roosts, 2 creeks and 4 tanks or watering holes that
hold these birds for our hunters.
The Spring Turkey
Season opens
April 09, 2011 and runs through May 22,
2011. We are offering 8 hunts this year starting
April 9th
so book your preferred week soon for the best times.
The Fall Turkey
Season runs from
September 3, 2011 until
September 30, 2011. These dates overlay the fall elk
and deer archery and muzzle loading seasons and the
early fall bear season. For that reason, we only
offer fall turkey hunts from September 26 through
September 30, 2011.
All our turkey
hunts are for 2 days, usually filling tags on the
first day.
Meals and lodging are provided in our
comfortable cabin camp. Discount room rates can be
arranged, in nearby Trinidad
Colorado,
for the days prior and following the hunt upon
request.
We provide all transportation while hunting.
Additional hunting days can be provided for $500.00
per day should the birds not cooperate.

Lodging and Meals
Lodging and meals are included when
hunting from our cabin camp. Lodging & Meals are the responsibility of the
hunter in town. Upon confirmation of your hunt, lodging will be booked for
you at a discounted rate with a local hotel in Trinidad, Co. You will pay
upon arrival for your room.

Antelope Hunting
New Mexico
Trophy Pronghorn $2950
These private
ranch hunts are on a 10,000 acres full of trophy
quality bucks. This fully guided 3 day hunt with 2
hunters per guide has always been 100% successful in
the past.
Individual, 1
hunter per guide, hunts are available for an
additional fee of $550.
Meals &
Lodging are at the hunter's expense in nearby Raton,
N.M..
Required Land
Owner Permits are $1200.00 for the guaranteed
license are included.
Non resident
New Mexico License cost is $285.00 and a Habitat
management Fee of $4.00.
Hunts Dates
are August 27-29 and Sep 8-10, 2011.
